What's the Weather Like In Great Exuma?

Being situated in the Bahamas, Great Exuma benefits greatly from having a glorious tropical climate. It does have 2 definable seasons, winter and summer, although in reality, what classes as a winter in the Bahamas is the equivalent of summer at Lake Tahoe.

Being of a tropical clime, Great Exuma and indeed all the Bahamas are subject to both rainy seasons and hurricane seasons. The Rainy season on Great Exuma normally spans between May and October but fear not, even the Tropical rain storms in the Bahamas are relaxed, normally only making an appearance in the guise of brief summer showers.

The hurricane season historically spans between late June through to the end of November. Whilst hurricanes are to be avoided where possible, the majority of homes on Great Exuma, including Villa Reverie are built from concrete and designed to offer safe harbour in even the worst of hurricanes.

It's also worth noting that according to astronauts Great Exuma has the clearest waters in the Caribbean region.

Average daily air temperatures are:

In the Winter: Maximum: 77°F/25°C.; Minimum 65°F/18°C.

In the Summer: Maximum: 91°F/33°C.; Minimum: 75°F/24°C.

Did you know that the water temperature in the Bahamas hardly ever drops below 72° F (equivalent to 22° Celsius) near the shorelines?
